Matt had a wonderful, and diverse set of experiences in his career, which offered an eclectic understanding of work environments, people, and job types. Matt spent time in customer service, sales, healthcare, and personal training. After receiving degrees in Medical Sciences, and Finance from Uof M, he started working in mortgage underwriting and appraisals. He learned many things working on property valuation, mortgage underwriting, culture, and structure while working at major mortgage institutions. Matt moved on to manage a personal lending company and grew the American branch of the company, mirroring the hub in Manila.

Matt then transitioned to real estate, building a rental portfolio and working as a realtor. He grew in experience, and opened his own brokerage, which has given him the opportunity to think creatively without franchise required red tape, and apply intelligent strategic solutions to many common issues present with real estate agents and investors.

Woodward Square Realty has grown from a brokerage made to benefit what he felt was lacking in brokerages, to a company made for agents to thrive. The focus has truly been agent centric, and cost effective. This work led to the developing Onyx, and Host'd, property management companies. This companies focus on long term and short term management (respectively). The brokerage and property management are constantly changing to adapt to the current economy, while developing consistent, educated benefits to our clientele. The long term projection of these companies is to offer high level service, opportunity, and support to all those affiliated with the companies.

Matt continues to move forward to increase the scale and reach of the companies in an effort to offer professional, and thoughtful services to all. Matt specializes in short term rental creation and boutique hotels. He now spends time teaching and speaking about the short term rental investment market.
